So what’s my cCrossfit story? I started doing Crossfit 2012… Then I didn't know that what I was doing is a big thing in the US, I would watch YoutTube videos and learn the movements by sight ( I was more of a visual learner) I would then do “wods” at the globo gym in Angeles City. Then I was introduced to a group of people who were doing legit Crossfit ( people who I am still with today) . Year 2015 I passed the CF L1 trainer course and as they say “the rest is history”. During the span of 3 years I joined a couple of low profile competitions around Metro Manila, extreme fitness dash where I ranked 4th, and Crossfit Infinitas “love hurts” where I ranked 3rd place both took place year 2013. 2014 I qualified for the 2014 Crossfit Manila Throwdown, and won the first 4 open wods on my category, Come game day, I finished 3rd place. 2015 Manila Throwdown I ranked top 9.

  • Favorite WOD: Nothing in particular but i enjoy wods that are endurance based and involves a lot of pull ups, anything with a pull up bar is fun. But i’m also starting to like barbell wods.
  • Favorite Benchmark WOD: Annie and fran
  • Favorite Hero WOD: Murph
  • Favorite Movement: Pull ups / muscle ups… Tie for 2nd double unders and handstands
  • Least Favorite Movement: Front squats (but i’m working on it)

I’m a wife and mother of 4, and I was diagnosed with Autoimmune Disease SLE in 2004. 2 years after giving birth to our 4th child my physical state was at its weakest and lowest and became depressed with the fact I couldn’t keep up with my toddler. I decided to take a shot at running along with my husband; we started with 1-2kms daily runs. Eventually we started to register for fun runs doing 10 kms. We started doing CrossFit 2013 and we haven’t stopped since. It has helped improve my health and way of life. With CrossFit and running I feel 20 years younger and stronger. I was able to do 2 Full Marathons one of which was Tokyo Marathon. Was also able to do an Ultra Marathon of 50 kms. From Tagaytay to Nasugbu Batangas. Did my CF L1 in 2015 and the rest is history. I hope to inspire and help ordinary people specially women like me who need that extra push to go beyond settling for being ordinary to being extraordinary.

  • Favorite WOD: Endurance WODs are what I prefer.
  • Favorite Benchmark WOD: Fran
  • Favorite Hero WOD: Murph
  • Favorite Movement: Pull ups and Cleans
  • Least Favorite Movement: Heavy Snatches and Front Squats
